The Old Sea Cats sing sea shanties and play traditional and original songs with a strong traditional flavor.

Old American Ballads as well as Celtic music strongly influence the original material. An energetic and entertaining trio that has performed in Southeastern PA, NJ and NY for many years, they have recently retooled their repertoire to include songs by such legends as Stan Rogers and Woody Guthrie as well as Rob Lincoln originals. Some of their material is acapella three-part harmony while the rest revolves around acoustic guitar, fiddle, harmonica and percussion.

The Trio:

Rob Lincoln - A prolific singer-songwriter who has written more than 1,000 songs, when Rob is not singing lead on his own songs he brings engaging harmonies often in the higher registers. Rob also plays violin or acoustic guitar on some songs and provides most of the comic relief.

Steve Lessick - A virtuoso percussionist who also plays a sweet melodic harmonica and will pull out a penny whistle on occasion, Steve takes on lead vocals on most of the group's sea shanties and Celtic selections. With a distinctive tenor, his voice is instantly recognizable whether singing lead on songs such as Barrett's Privateers or harmonizing with Rob and Art.

Art Cohen – A master guitarist, Art may also ply his skills on other stringed instruments from time to time. Art holds down the bottom harmony on many songs and takes the lead on some of the Cat's Americana material.
